Britannia Choral Society

Britannia Choral Society

Welcome

Britannia Choral Society is a mixed choir based in the beautiful coastal town of Dartmouth in Devon.

The choir normally performs two or three concerts a year: one or two in November or December and one in March or April. We rehearse weekly in St. Clement’s Church, Dartmouth between September and Easter. Our repertoire ranges from the 17th to the 21st centuries with an emphasis on music that is fun to sing and which pleases our audiences.

We look forward to welcoming you as as a singer or in the audience.

Email us at info@britanniachoir.org for more information.

Our next concert
Saturday 28th November

In our first concert under our new Musical Director, Jeremy Kenyon, we will present an exciting programme of music, including Anton Bruckner’s beautiful Locus Iste, Morton Lauridsen’s O Nata Lux and Gabriel Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine, and culminating in the haunting Requiem by Maurice DuruflĂ©, that blends ancient Gregorian chant with rich impressionistic French harmonies.

If you are interested in singing in Britannia Choral Society, you can ‘try us out’ without obligation at an open rehearsal on Wednesday 9 September at 7.30pm in St. Clement’s Church, Dartmouth. We would love to see you there.
